A group of Orang-utans in the Apenheul (Apeldoorn, The Netherlands) will make contact with wild congeners on Borneo.
On the Indonesian island everything is set. The Apenheul is, however, not making much progress. According to the head of the zoo-keeping, Frank Rietkerk, cables still have to be laid and no ape-proof screen has been found yet. The anthropoids will get a live-connection with the ape relief centre on Borneo, which is owned by the Dutch Willie Smits. Experiments will possibly be linked to it, for example feeding each other with the pressing of a button.
