Be careful with medications
A number of ‘top tens’ have recently been published in the United States listing human medications dangerous to various house pet species. Examples of medicines listed are antidepressants, medications used for ADHD, and of course often-used analgesics such as ibuprofen, naproxen and aspirin. Vitamin D products are mentioned as well.
The American lists come from the Pet Poison Helpline of the ASPCA, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Many veterinarians’ websites also contain information on poisoning and pets. Take a look at your own vet’s site!
